Boehringer Ingelheim (Senior) International Customer Insights Manager in Ingelheim, Germany

The Position

As (Senior) International Customer Insights Manager you act as a business partner of the value team or brand team and inform and influence their decisions through valuable customer and patient insights as well as deep market and competition understanding.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Key activities of the (Senior) International Customer Insights Manager include:

  • Proposing the appropriate tools/approaches to answer key strategic business questions throughout the product life cycles

  • Generating patient and customer insights to strengthen decision making and to shape indication and brand strategy

  • Interpreting brand performance and providing recommendations to optimize strategy or the execution of strategy

  • Providing input for forecast assumptions for individual brand performance

  • Development of annual integrated insights research plans and budgets

  • Execution of market research and data analytics activities for the brand and delivery in terms of quality and timelines to ensure Business needs and expectations are met

As Senior International Customer Insights Manager, you additionally have the following responsibilities:

  • Coaching (Junior) International Customer Insights Managers

  • Acting as a primary point of contact for the brand team / asset team and coordinate activities within Customer and Digital insights team (Corporate and OPUs)

  • Drive the patient and customer understanding to be at the center of decision making across the organization

  • Pro-actively providing actionable market, customer, and competitive insights (short and long term) and recommendations to shape the indication or brand strategy

  • Leverage commercial knowledge, business acumen and cross-TA learning to Identify critical business questions and opportunities to maximize the business and improve brand plans

  • Representing Customer and Digital insights group in cross-functional Meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA or other advanced degree preferred) or equivalent experience in fields such as Business Administration, Economics, Psychology, Statistics, Life Sciences, Public Health or Health Sciences

  • Several years of professional experience, market research and analytics in the pharma, health care or medical device industry

  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills with a demonstrated ability to interpret data and information from various sources and translate them into actionable insights and business recommendations

  • Experience in generating insights to inform emotional brand differentiation and brand strategy

  • A dynamic and self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal and influencing skills as well as proven demonstration of our desired TA Persona behaviors

  • Application and fostering of agile ways of working in teams including generating new ideas and experimenting

  • Database handling skills with a demonstrated ability work with standard business Software

  • Command of the English language is required (written and spoken), additional languages would be an asset

As Senior International Customer Insights Manager, we additionally require the following

  • Longstanding professional Insights & Analytics experience in the pharma, health care or medical device industry

  • Deep commercial knowledge and business acumen

  • Strong decision making and influencing skills with proven impact on the business, ability to build strong argumentations, convince the business teams and excellent communication skills to get key messages across to diverse audience and at various organizational levels

  • Providing Thought Leadership routed in insights and strong bias to help teams transform insights into Action
