**Nurse Aide: Essential Duties & Responsibilities
**
- Performs basic care for the assigned pediatric to adult patients such as bathing, linen changes, feeding, oral hygiene, shaving, HS care, measurement of height/weight, vital signs, turning patients, intake, and output.

``` - Documents patient information on approved forms and or EMR such as intake and output, vital signs/work sheets, assessment forms, turning schedule. - Maintains cleanliness of patient's rooms, eating areas, and utility room. - Provides meal trays, snacks, and ice to patients. - Transports patients by wheelchair or stretcher to ancillary units and from ER when needed. - Administers enemas and performs catheter care. - Maintains knowledge of equipment used in nursing unit such as DynaMap, scales, patient transfer device and scales. - Performs any other duties within scope of practice as directed by licensed staff.
**Education/Experience
**High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A certified nursing assistant licenses from a state accredited school is suggested.
