Job Title: Survey Crew Chief

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Survey Crew Chiefs to join our team, focusing on construction layouts, as-built surveys, topographic surveys, and boundary surveys during a nine-month contract period, with potential permanent roles involving ALTA surveys. Successful candidates will operate in two-person teams, or solo, utilizing top-tier Trimble equipment. Our projects range across commercial, industrial, residential, and institutional sectors, including collaborations with large entities such as IU Health and a major pharmaceutical company in downtown Indianapolis. This role requires minimal travel, with occasional overnight stays, and is based within a 60-minute commute of the client's Indianapolis office.

Hard Skills

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Survey Crew Chief

  • Experience in construction layout, boundary surveys, topographic surveys

  • Proficiency with GPS base and rover units, VRS networks, Robotic total stations, Digital level, TSC7 data collectors, and TBC processing software

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).

Work Environment

Field-based role with significant autonomy, allowing direct travel from home to job sites. Interaction with project managers and team members in the office as needed.
