Amergis RN Clinical Patient Educator in Indianapolis, Indiana

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Clinical Patient Educator responsible for providing education to patients on medical treatments and/or medical equipment. Thisindividual is responsible for facilitating learning that is of a performance-based nature.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans patient educational program(s)

  • Coordinates and facilitateseducational sessions

  • Plans, prepares, and maintainsmaterials for use in patient education

  • Provides initial and ongoing educationand consultation

  • Tracks and measures patientsatisfaction

  • Attends continuing education

  • Assists in training and development ofnew educators as applicable

  • Acts as a mentor to new educators asapplicable

  • Acts as the Subject Matter Expert asapplicable

  • Observes safe work practices

  • Participates in research sessions

  • Performs other duties asassigned/necessary

    Minimum Requirements:

  • Current RN license in state ofassignment

  • One to three (1-3) years trainingexperience preferred

  • Ability to facilitate education inmultiple formats (face to face, virtual learning, etc.)

  • Ability to collaborate with a healthcare team

  • Ability to work with a team to developcollaborative educational approaches and curriculum

  • Ability to effectively elicit/provideinformation to and from appropriate individuals (including,

  • but not limited to, supervisors,co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency

  • in the English language may berequired

  • Computer proficiency required

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) yearsof age
