Corteva Agrisciences has an exciting opportunity for a Environmental Regulatory Specialist based in the Indianapolis, Indiana.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide Global Environmental Regulatory Support for Corteva. This role will provide regulatory guidance for both the Crop Protection and Seeds Business Platforms and includes support for Manufacturing/Production Facilities, Research Locations, Laboratories, and various Corporate Functions (Auditing, Process Safety,Engineering, M&A, etc.). The role is technical in nature requiring a combination of both Engineering and Regulatory Expertise. The incumbent will possess sound fundamental Environmental Regulatory Expertise and a demonstrated understanding of Environmental laws, rules, and regulations.

What You'll Do:

  • Ability to work effectively and identify improvement opportunities within a Global EH&S Management Systems (Work Processes, Procedures, Goals and Objectives, etc.).

  • Exhibit high levels of Ownership and Leadership for Environmental Programs and Regulatory Solutions which are aligned with Corporate Sustainability Objectives.

  • Significant Environmental Regulatory proficiency in the principal Environmental Regulatory Areas of Air, Water, Waste.

  • Lead Environmental Regulatory Competency Audits for the Corporate Environmental Function.

  • Perform Environmental Calculations associated with Environmental Permitting

  • Expertise in the development, preparation, and submission of routine Environmental Permit Applications.

  • Leading Interactions with Business Personnel for the creation of Site/Business Level Regulatory Procedures.

  • Provide support for Management of Change Reviews associated with Environmental Regulatory Issues.

  • Lead interactions and negotiations with Environmental Regulatory Agencies for permitting and other regulatory issues

  • Perform ongoing Country, Federal, State, and Local Environmental Regulatory Reviews and develop corresponding Environmental Compliance Strategies.

  • Development of clear and concise interpretations of Environmental Regulatory Laws and Regulations.

  • Work efficiently with internal and outside Legal Counsel for routine Environmental Compliance issues.

  • Other job requirements as directed by the Supervisor

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Environmental Sciences is required, Chemical or Environmental Engineering Degree preferred

What Skills You Need:

  • Minimum of 10 Years of prior Corporate Level Environmental Experience or equivalent

  • 5 Years of prior work experience in a Manufacturing Environment/Chemical Plant is desired

  • Proficient in Workstation Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

  • Proficient technical writing skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.

  • Ability to work independently and error free.

  • Ability to work proficiently on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Periodic travel is required (10% to 30%).

  • Ability to periodically work at elevated surfaces and in a Grain or Chemical Handling Environment.
