Intel Emulation Model and Tool Development - Graduate Intern in Indianapolis, Indiana

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities:

Intel's Xeon Engineering Group (XEG) Emulation Center of Excellence is seeking a highly motivated and skilled intern to join our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the development of emulation models and validation tools that are critical for the verification of Intel's next generation of Xeon server SoCs.Responsibilities may include:Assist in the development and maintenance of emulation models for various Intel products.Participate in the design and implementation of validation tools to enable our validation team to be more efficient and to find more and deeper pre-silicon design bugs.Contribute to the improvement of existing emulation methodologies and practices.Support the team in debugging and resolving issues related to emulation models and tools.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience in digital logic design and computer architecture.

Knowledge of hardware description languages (HDL) such as Verilog or VHDL.

Experience in software development and scripting languages such as C++ and Python.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Eagerness to learn and take on challenging tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience with emulation tools or FPGA-based prototyping.

Understanding of validation concepts and methodologies.

Experience with version control systems like Git.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado, New York, Washington, California: $63,000.00-$166,000.00

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
