RINO Equipment and Rental Diesel Mechanic in Indianapolis, Indiana
I. Position Objective
RINO Equipment and Rental is opening its first location in the heart of Indianapolis and seeking out an individual that has experience being a technician while also having the desire to grow this a new organization. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Service Technician to join our team. The incumbent will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment and machinery. You will work closely with our customers, ensuring that their equipment functions optimally to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused approach.
II. Essential Position Duties
- Perform inspections, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on various types of equipment, including but not limited to compact construction equipment.
- Routine maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and optimal performance of equipment- Collaborate with customers to understand and resolve technical issues, providing clear and effective communication throughout the service process.
- Order necessary parts and materials for repairs and maintenance tasks, while maintaining accurate records of inventory and expenses.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during repair and maintenance activities.
- Complete service reports, maintenance logs, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and product knowledge to provide outstanding service and technical support.
- Assist in training customers and operators on proper equipment operation and maintenance practices.
- Delivery and pickup of equipment to/from customers.
