About the role:
The primary responsibility of this position is to lead advance manufacturing engineering projects. To do this, the successful candidate must have a strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes and project management. As a technical expert, you will be responsible for the manufacturing process design, technology, and equipment selection for complex and challenging projects.
Role Responsibilities :
Manages overall project requirements, engineering, reliability, logistics, coordination of different teams, evaluation measurements, and other disciplines for large or complex projects.
Coordinates equipment selection, control engineering, industrial engineering, organizational studies, and project management.
Monitors budgets, cost, effectiveness, and reliability of activities and make recommendations to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and ensure that standards are met.
Manages work-processes, optimization methods, and risk management tools for large or complex projects.
Researches, evaluates, and recommends investments or changes in technology, resources, procedures, equipment, systems, or other assets to improve the quality of the organization's systems products and services.
Provides analysis for the decomposition of customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements and makes recommendations for the generation of verification criteria and plans for the requirements.
Work with Product engineering to define product roadmaps and establish/manage project plans, schedules, and resources to meet milestones and objectives.
Partner with Operations to ensure deliverables integrate into their systems within the overall product release schedule.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 7+ year professional experience in engineering projects, OR advanced Degree with 5+ year professional experience engineering projects.
Ability to travel nationally and internationally up to 30%.
Preferred Qualifications (assets)
Experience working in HVAC manufacturing.
Complex project management experience.
Ability to lead cross functional teams.
Experience in safety and environmental regulations.
Proficient with CAD
Skills to communicate technical issues across functions.
Experience in Quality tools.
Lean or six sigma experience.
Basic understanding of capital project finance.
PLC programming experience is a plus.
