Cleveland Clinic Senior Financial Analyst I - Contract Management in Independence, Ohio

Our Contract Management department is looking to add a Senior Financial Analyst to their dedicated team of caregivers. In this role, you will provide Financial or Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) data, metrics and standard or ad hoc reporting to support the needs of the organization. Additional responsibility for standard general ledger reconciliations, expense analysis and chargemaster may be needed. This role ensures that reimbursement contracts are correct, directly impacting the patient estimate process and ensuring Cleveland Clinic is being reimbursed correctly for services rendered. This role is only being offered to current Contract Management caregivers.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares, analyzes and communicates key financial information.

  • Provides support to management and other staff members regarding financial reporting and other issues.

  • Assists with budget preparation, budget review for compliance and financial planning processes.

  • Consults with all levels of management to provide decision support for initiatives, policies and procedures.

  • Performs special projects and duties related to research, forecasting and conflict resolution as assigned.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, Business or related field.

  • Master's degree preferred.

Certifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification preferred.

Complexity of Work:

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of four years finance, revenue cycle management or general analytical experience. Healthcare experience preferred.

  • Master's degree may offset some required experience.

  • Ability to complete sophisticated analytical, consultative and information support through analysis and report preparation.

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills, decisive judgment and the ability to lead projects and people.

  • Strong understanding of complex key performance indicators, cash flow analysis, product line analysis and proposal development.

Physical Requirements:

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate computer.

  • Ability to lift and transport up to 25 pounds.

  • May require extended periods of standing, walking or sitting.

  • Good visual acuity through normal or corrected vision.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $27.65

Maximum hourly: $42.17

The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. While the pay range is displayed as an hourly rate, Cleveland Clinic recruiters will clarify whether the compensation is hourly or salary. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set, and education.
