Northwest Bank SENIOR BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE DEVELOPER in Independence, Ohio

Description The Senior Business Intelligence Developer will work in an exciting, fast-paced, dynamic business environment focused on growth of our business and internal customer satisfaction. The candidate will work closely with line of business teams, other developers and analysts to deliver on projects/initiatives required for the Bank's ongoing business operations, customer opportunities and revenue generation. The candidate will work extensively with Microsoft technologies and will possess significant experience as a developer in financial services. The preferred candidate will work independently and in teams analyzing, designing, and developing business intelligence solutions using coding standards and best practices in close partnership with business teams, architecture, and IT leaders; as well as, mentoring junior staff by providing guidance and design consultation. Essential Functions * Adhere to FDIC and FRB data regulatory guidelines for SDLC * Design, develop, test and deploy ETL solutions, reports, etc. which meet defined requirements using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, Python, ADF, T-SQL and other languages and tools. In addition, Synapse skills are a positive add. * Import data from 3rd party sources (Using APIs, SFTP, Flat Files, Websites, etc.) to improve the Bank's ability to market, control, and enhance client and / or banker experience - data imports must align with approved data architectures and standards * Contribute to requirements refinement, analysis and design for all-sized projects * Improve Data Environment for our business partners by improving daily job efficiency and success, resolving defects, enhancements, Interfacing with Data Governance to maintain Data Catalog, reviewing metrics for areas of improvement, automating daily data team functions, etc. * Adhere to best practice development, testing, deployment and operations policies, procedures and guidelines and contribute to the further refinement of those guidelines * Work with DBAs to determine how to meet service level agreements, and assist in defining SLAs * Adhere to data quality standards, dat governance standards, coding standards and SDLC * Contribute to Data Democratization of Northwest by working with Analysts and LOB partners to design and implement complex user stories * Maintain awareness of current data technology trends and recommend enhancements that will improve the data environment * Write technical specifications for data integrations, solutions, etc. * Create and maintain design and data flow diagrams * Knowledgeable in best practice Data Warehouse design (Star Schema) Additional Essential Functions * Ensure compliance with Northwest's policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations * Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency * Work as part of a team * Work with on-site equipment Additional Responsibilities * Maintain expertise in current technology stacks and best practices to recommend changes that can have positive impact on the enterprise * Ensure best practice align information security and regulatory requirements in SDLC * Works with team to complete project requests * Troubleshoot and resolve daily issues with the perspective of minimizing incidents and developing supporting documentation that may be used by support teams * Provide mentorship to junior developers * Develop and execute plans to install new software and custom software changes following Change Management disciplines Safety and Health for those without supervisory duties * Abide by the rules of the safety and loss prevention program * Perform work tasks in a safe manner * Report any and all injuries to supervisor * Know what to do
