Program Summary

KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Turkey. Our services ensure smooth operations, allowing Air Force and government personnel to focus on their missions. We provide program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare, and recreation support, among other essential services. Awarded by the Air Force Installation Contracting Center, our contract spans a five-year base period with three one-year options, reflecting our commitment to excellence and operational support.

Job Summary

Primary responsibilities include: Recurring maintenance, troubleshooting , and repairs, on chilled water systems, hot water heaters, boilers, HVAC package and split systems, air compressors, window units, freezer boxes, refrigerators, and other miscellaneous refrigeration equipment, plumbing systems, electrical systems, carpentry, painting and grounds maintenance.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responds to service calls and installation on a variety of HVAC systems.

  • Performs tests and troubleshooting using various analog and digital test equipment, ohmmeters, ammeters, voltmeters, watt meters, transistor testers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, frequency meters, protective relays, and cable test equipment.

  • Repairs and maintains computer-based systems that control and monitor a building’s mechanical and electrical HVAC automation systems.

  • Monitors for malfunctions to identify faulty equipment and conducts routine repairs of Building Automation system hardware to include disassembly, replacement, and troubleshooting of equipment.

  • Prepares, updates, and maintains a variety of data forms, records, and reports.

  • Complies with local and US electrical safety codes, standards, regulations, practices, and environmental laws.

  • Read and interpret electrical and electronic schematic wiring diagrams, manufactures’ literature, and standard operating procedures.

  • Use test equipment to trouble shoot basic AC/DC Theory, 1-phase/3-phase power, system protection, and electronic/electrical equipment.

  • Use desktop and mobile devices to access Building Automation systems to perform equipment monitoring functions.

  • Physical requirements include being able to lift 23 kilos, climbing ladders, extended sitting or standing, and working in normal and adverse weather conditions due to work requirements.

  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.

  • Performs duties such as driver, laborer, grass cutting, painting, washing/cleaning shop areas, mechanical rooms and vehicles.

  • Performs any other duties as assigned by supervisor. Will assist other craftsman in accomplishing their duties as directed by supervisor.

  • Works uncommon/flexible duty hours (shifts, weekends and holidays).

Basic Qualifications

  • Turkish Citizen

  • Technical High School graduate/completed, department of HVAC/Refrigeration.

  • Must be capable of writing, listening, and reading English at a minimum of level 1.

  • Must be capable of completing basic HVAC/Refrigeration courses in English.

  • Must be capable of obtaining a Turkish security clearance

  • Must possess a valid driver license (minimum “B” class).

  • Military obligation must be completed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two-year HVAC College degree (İklimlendirme, Soğutma Yüksekokulu),

  • Boiler Operator License (SANAYİ KAZANI İŞLETME BELGESİ) will supersede in the first selection.

  • Prior experience in the HVAC industry, with good plumbing skills including soldering and brazing.
