Job Description
Position Summary:
ThermoFisher Scientific Inc. is currently hiring a skilled, driven and ambitious Scientist III, Field Applications working at Bioprocess Design Center in Songdo-do. As a Field Application Scientist, you will have the chance to work with powerful technology and play a key role in advancing Thermo Fisher Scientific's mission to deliver scientific innovation. Responsibilities:
Collaborate with customers on research projects to successfully implement innovative solutions.
Write comprehensive study plans and detailed reports.
Generate application data to support research initiatives.
Perform batch, fed-batch, and perfusion culture for media/feed evaluation, process development, and scale-up studies using mammalian cells.
Conduct flask, Ambr15, and benchtop bioreactor runs.
Prepare and maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents.
Perform regular equipment maintenance to ensure flawless operation.
Requirements:
A master's degree or Ph.D. in a life science-related field such as Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Engineering. Equivalent experience in these fields will also be considered.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and proprietary information with sensitivity.
Ability to interface effectively at all interpersonal levels.
Fluency in both written and spoken English and Korean.
Strong drive to learn and expand skills.
Proficiency in all Microsoft programs.
Experience:
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in a biopharma company, specifically in roles related to cell line development, and cell culture process development.
