The manufacturing engineer is responsible for planning, designing, set-up, modifying and optimizing, and monitoring manufacturing processes in our industrial facility to decrease the defective rate and to increase the productivity. The successful candidate should have excellent communication, teamwork, and analytical skills, as well as product design and mechanical experience.

This position is part of the Manufacturing Group at Nihon Pall Manufacturing Ltd, and will be located in Tsukuba Plant.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts.

• Determine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.

• Investigate or resolve operational problems, such as material use variances or bottlenecks.

• Prepare reports summarizing information or trends related to manufacturing performance.

• Train production personnel in new or existing methods.

• 製造工程、工具及び製造装置、組立方法、品質管理又は製品設計、素材・部品の知識を用いて、課題の発見・改善を行い、製品の改良、コスト削減を実現していく。

• 統計的手法を用いて原因を突き止め、設計、許容誤差又は工程の見直しを助言する。

• 材料の数量差異や製造工程のボトルネックなど、オペレーション上の課題の発見、解決を行

• 新規・既存の製造方法を製造オペレータに指導する。

• 製造結果に関する情報又は傾向をまとめレポートを作成する。

The essential requirements of the job include:

• High School Degree (or equivalent)

• 7+ years' experience in manufacturing engineering or manufacturing related engineering.

• Well-versed in relevant software (e.g. CAD, MS Office)

• Excellent verbal, and written communications, and presentation skills

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
