General Scope of Responsibilities
Under the direction and guidance of the RSVP & Health and Assistance Program Director, the Wellness Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Wellness program to provide wellness activities for current and prospective RSVP volunteers and clients. Will assist in the facilitation of the WISE Program
Duties and Responsibilities
Attend required trainings to facilitate the WISE program.
Use Wellness initiatives to promote recruitment, enrollment, training
and retention of volunteers to meet program requirements.
Assist with social media, including weekly Wellness Wednesday postings and videos.
Prepare and distribute Wellness Newsletters bi-annually.
Network and publicize with community agencies, non-profits, faith Communities and the general public to promote the Wellness, and other RSVP programs that relate to serving the aging population.
Develop and/or maintain Wellness Program documents including: WISE program handbook, training materials, intake forms, consent forms, volunteer scheduling documents, timesheets, and other documents as required.
Maintain and/or oversee maintenance of records for all the above programming including, but not limited to, volunteer timesheets, mileage tallies, reimbursement claims, donation receipts, client contacts and public relations outreach.
Prepare quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports as required by the Catholic Charities agency and all program funding sources.
Receive and document all donations received into the program and send thank you notes to donors.
Assist the program director to meet program goals and requirements.
A Bachelor’s Degree in human services, education, social work, public, and/or geriatrics is preferred, in addition to two years’ experience in the field. Strong presentation, organizational and verbal and written communication skills required. Valid NYS Driver’s License required. Travel is required for trainings and WISE program.
