Southern Ute Tribe Wastewater Plant Operator I Trainee in Ignacio, Colorado
POSITION: Wastewater Plant Operator I Trainee.
DUTIES: This trainee position is designed to provide training and experience for up to one year in order to learn and be responsible for performing duties in support of the day to day operations of the Southern Ute Wastewater Treatment Plant and Collection System.
REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Need to be able to perform basic computer operations.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Need to maintain a telephone for on-call duties. Need to have valid driver's license for state of residency and be insurable under the Growth Fund's vehicle insurance policy. Must pass pre-employment drug test and criminal history background check. Be able to obtain a Class "D" Colorado Wastewater Plant Operators Certificate within 12 months of hire. Must have, or be able to obtain, Class "B" CDL within 18 months of hire.
WAGES: 24.00 - 25.00 per hour.
SHIFTS: Full-time position. Need to be able to work on call, irregular hours (shift work), holidays, and weekends.
JOBS SITE: Ignacio, CO.
BENEFITS: Annual and sick leave, 401(k) match, and health insurance. Hiring preference will be given to enrolled Native Americans.
