East Idaho Credit Union Business Analyst Director in Idaho Falls, Idaho

We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence/Data Analyst with credit union experience

The Business Intelligence Director will strategically and tactically lead the credit union’s business intelligence program and department. Driving the organization's business intelligence strategy, this position provides corporate-wide operational and financial information to develop solutions and presents actionable information to make informed business decisions. Responsible for data governance and construction of the data warehouse and identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems as they relate to data and business intelligence systems. Job functions are mostly performed independently, though collaboration with product owners and others throughout the organization is essential to the success of this position.

Essential functions include but are not limited to:

  • Direct and oversee high level strategic and tactical decisions as they pertain to business intelligence practices.

  • Develop effective business intelligence strategies and comprehensive analytical solutions to further grow the credit union both organically and in new market areas.

  • Lead the design and maintenance of business intelligence applications, tools, and programs.

  • Interpret key findings in the Credit Union’s data and leverage these insights to create initiatives that support organizational decision making and growth

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in business, statistics, IT, or related field

  • Minimum 5 years Financial Services industry experience

  • Five years in data analytics position

  • Strong understanding of business intelligence practices, loan portfolio/credit risk management, lending and financial principles, and operational efficiencies.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex data analysis into actionable business insights.

  • Strong knowledge of database management and working with large sets of raw data.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office applications especially Excel and Access.

  • Proficiency with technology and the ability to learn new application systems.

  • Advanced financial/mathematical skills (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.)

  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.

  • Communicate with courtesy, tact, and diplomacy in person and over the phone.

  • Ability to read and carry out various written instructions and follow verbal directions.

  • Demonstrates extreme accuracy and quality, effectively handles multiple tasks and changing priorities, and exercises highest level of discretion on both internal and external matters.

  • Reports to work regularly; maintains reliable and timely attendance. Travel quarterly may be required.
