As a Tag Implementation Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and implementing tracking tags on websites and digital platforms. These tags are snippets of code that collect data about user interactions, enabling businesses to analyze and optimize their online presence. The role involves a mix of technical and analytical skills. Tag Implementation Specialist is a member of our in-house resourcing team.
About the Role:
Location: Hyderabad
Type of Role: Hybrid: Remote, Hours 11:00 AM IST to 8:00 PM IST (1 day a month in office)
Experience: 7 years of experience as a Tag Implementation Specialist (similar titles: Mega data Specialist, Digital Content Tagger, Content Tagging Specialist)
As part of our in-house team, your key responsibilities will include:
Oversee the technical management of our Tag Management platform
Facilitate new technology implementations and maintenance, such as Joveo (programmatic job advertising platform)
Assist the Analytics and Attribution team with tagging processes and implementation using Google Tag Manager
Ensure the accurate and robust technical setup of Google Analytics (GA3 and GA4) for web and app reporting
Govern the use of Google UTM tracking across multiple teams to ensure consistency
Stay updated with industry innovations to identify new opportunities
Maintain operational relationships with key technology providers, such as Gr8P (recruitment software platform)
Manage and maintain XML job feeds (training provided)
Conduct regular performance checks on third-party scripts loaded through tag manager and JavaScript to ensure correct setup
Collaborate with Developers, Performance Marketing, and Media teams to scope, design, develop, and implement digital data collection initiatives and new technologies
Assist new clients with the essential system setup for implementations
Identify areas for process improvement and provide recommendations to management
Create and manage client-facing process documentation
Develop technology solutions for client integrations and enhancements
Debug implementation issues, configuration, and coding errors
Perform and advise on quality assurance testing post-tag implementation

For this role, your key expertise will include:
Extensive knowledge in configuring Google Analytics, including accounts and properties
Highly proactive with excellent multitasking skills
Advanced knowledge of Google Looker Studio and Data Studio
Strong skills in setting up, configuring, and maintaining API and XML feeds (training provided)
Excellent program management skills: well-organized, meticulous attention to detail, data-driven, and able to meet project deadlines
Familiarity with CRM and CMS platforms, and basic knowledge of front-end web development, including proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3
Proficient in JavaScript and jQuery, with the ability to understand basic JS concepts such as for loops, accessing object properties, and basic browser APIs; expertise in tagging solutions, data layers, custom JavaScript variables, event parameters, and triggers
Experience in implementing server-side tagging strategies
Solid knowledge of custom event tracking
Expertise in installing and configuring third-party tags, such as Hotjar, Joveo, and marketing pixels
Ability to track and interpret business metrics and key performance indicators, including weekly/monthly reporting and dashboards, providing clear and actionable insights for leadership
Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, and SQL
Working knowledge of digital data collection and data quality principles
Solid understanding of front-end HTML/CSS frameworks (preferably Bootstrap)
Understanding of website optimization development and design, including content management systems
Experience in responsive web design
RPO and MSP experience is a plus
Knowledge of global data protection and compliance laws regarding consumer data, digital tracking, and remarketing
