Microsoft Cloud and Data Sciences team is focused on the success of Microsoft Cloud customers, and partners.Our analysis services and machine learning models answer key questions helping our customers and partners improve business models and services. Our team also provides key metrics about cloud adoption across Microsoft and inform internal business decisions. We do this with a team of people with diverse perspectives and backgrounds who continually identify points of engagement, measure outcomes, learn from our customers and partners, and improve business models and services. In this way we make data-driven insights actionable with changes to Microsoft Cloud products and services to make them easier to use, understand, and learn about. The institutional knowledge we build as a result amplifies our impact across Microsoft to help make customer and partner success our success.
Responsibilities
Design & develop data platform that will enable insights to analyze and measure the rhythm of business
Design and build data products by acquiring and integrating high volume of data from diverse sources like ADLS,Azure SQL etc.and curating the data to support business operational / reporting requirements
Implement best practices in building data pipelines, and richer insights: data integrity, data quality, performance optimization and automation Write clean, well-intended code with an emphasis on quality, simplicity, and maintainability, while also inspiring others to do the same through code reviews, 1:1 mentoring, etc.
Work with multiple client partner teams to implement cohesive end-to-end experiences
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics or equivalent.
4+ years of software engineering experience, with majority of that time in building data-driven systems on Microsoft analytics stack – Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks and Spark etc.
Strong proficiency with at least one of the languages C#, Scala, Python or Java
Demonstrable ability in building scalable, highly performant data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data modeling and Data Warehousing.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills and ability to work through ambiguous situations
Preferred Qualifications:
• Ability to learn and grasp concepts quickly in a fast-paced environment is critical to success.
• Familiarity with Containers and Kubernetes, GraphQL services is a plus
• Experience working in cloud platform such as Azure is an advantage
