Microsoft Corporation Software Engineer 2 in Hyderabad, India

Do you want to build and ship new Azure services from the ground up? The Azure Developer Division team at Microsoft India Development Center (IDC) is hiring talented engineers to help us build and ship managed Azure services working with our strategic ISV partners that will enable deploying and operating popular open-source and 3rd party services in the Azure cloud. We will collaborate closely with industry partners to ship best-in-class services operating at a large scale.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this role include different aspects of designing and building features for an Azure service - such as prototyping, developing resource providers, authoring Azure portal extensions, building integration data plane, handling live site issues, driving security compliance etc. You will have opportunities to work across the stack to build new Azure services. We expect all engineers to write high-quality code and own the end-to-end test and DevOps lifecycle. You will build components to meet security, privacy, reliability, compliance, and performance needs.

Qualifications

Required:

  • BA/BS or higher degree in Computer Science or equivalent field

  • 4+ years of industry experience building and shipping software using modern programming languages such as C#, C++, Java, Go or Python

  • Strong software design, coding, and problem-solving skills

  • Customer obsession and passion for shipping high quality products

  • Self-driven, can work independently and capable of dealing with ambiguity

  • Excellentcommunication and collaboration skills

Preferred:

  • Experience working in a Linux environment and/or with Open-Source projects is a plus

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure such as Azure, AWS or GCP

  • Experience supporting live site services

  • Experience with Docker and DevOps tools and processes

  • Experience working with Resource provider, Azure portal, Azure Security and compliance of existing Azure services is a big plus

Other Requirements

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements arerequired for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
