What you’ll do
The Fusion AI Engineering team is looking for a seasoned, hands-on engineering leader, innovator, and team builder in applied AI/ML. As a Director/Sr. Director of the Fusion AI Engineering team, you'll lead and grow a talented team of AI/ML engineers, building the next generation of GenAI services. You'll spearhead our AI/ML platform, offering GenAI services such as Completion, Embeddings, RAG, and Agentic Workflow. You’ll champion the application of GenAI across various Fusion product lines like HCM, SCM, ERP, and CX. You'll create, own, and operate the Fusion AI platform, encompassing various AI REST APIs, microservices, and data pipelines. Additionally, you'll mentor, grow, and develop the engineering team.
What you’ll bring
You possess deep technical expertise in AI/ML and complex distributed systems. You're comfortable thriving in a dynamic, complex, and sometimes ambiguous environment, delivering AI solutions to production. As an engineer at heart, you have a strong technical foundation in building scalable products and services, with familiarity with GenAI frameworks like OCI AI Services, LangChain, AutoGen, HuggingFace, and ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn. You drive system architecture and are adept at interfacing with data pipelines and data stores like Oracle database, Kafka, and OCI object store. Your role will significantly impact Oracle’s bottom line by successfully delivering GenAI features to thousands of our customers. You'll play a crucial part in building AI and Machine Learning (ML) platforms and solutions that transform user experience and workflow efficiency for enterprise services.

Responsibilities
As a Senior Director of the software engineering division, you will apply your extensive knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to current and future design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision improvements to the architecture.
15+ years of related experience with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering.
10+ years of management experience leading high-performance engineering teams.
Experience building and delivering enterprise-class products and services at scale.
Expertise in Java or Python, OOP, Design Patterns, and time and space-efficient algorithms.
Proficiency in GenAI frameworks, both commercial and open source.
Experience in creating new products that leverage challenging algorithms.
Expertise in coding efficient, object-oriented, modularized, and quality software.
Deep knowledge of core AI/ML techniques and algorithms.
Experience with cloud-native technologies such as OKE, OCI streaming, storage, networking, monitoring, events, etc.
