We are the Customer Focused Engineering (CFE) team in Windows Servicing and Delivery (WSD) organization. We deliver updates to every Windows-based device in the world to protect users and enable them to be productive.  While security remains our primary focus, we also enable our commercial and enterprise customers by enabling new device support, addressing reliability and upgrade blocking issues. Our work is critical for the Windows family of devices. We are an agile team and ship twice every month, impacting over a billion Windows devices in the ecosystem.

We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager for the team in India. Responsibilities

  • Drive strong area strategy while partnering closely with internal stakeholders to define, prioritize and execute business priorities

  • Work closely with cross functional teams of engineers, partners and customer support to deliver monthly Windows updates with high quality.

  • Foster effective partnerships with teams across the company by aligning, defining and measuring common goals.

  • Manage priorities for engineering team based on a deep understanding of the broader Windows ecosystem and customer scenarios.

  • Manage schedules, risks, issues and communicate them effectively to the team, management, and partners to maintain high-quality releases.

  • Use data to influence and drive decisions.

  • Manage large scale Programs such as SFI including scoping, planning, prioritization, tracking, and effective implementation

  • Conduct Readiness assessments spanning across people, processes, services, and technology dependencies

  • Be responsible forcoming up with baselines, gap analysis, reviews, revisions etc. towards robust planning and execution

  • Identify and surface up Risks, dependencies, challenges, and effective mitigations in a timely and effective manner

  • Work cross-functionally and collaborate across teams and geo locations towards successful execution of Program goals and objectives

  • Provide timely reporting on critical metrics, milestones, and deliverables indicative of Program status

  • Able to develop and execute a comprehensive product feature strategy and roadmap for an area if need arises; drive strong delivery strategy, feature specs, and planning rigor while partnering closely with internal stakeholders to crisply define, prioritize end to end scenarios and requirements. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of technical program management experience with a strong technical understanding

  • Proven track record of going technically deep and delivering cloud-scale technologies

  • Working knowledge of networking, operating systems, configurations, H/w Infrastructure, and Cloud

  • Industry standard certifications such as ITIL, PMP etc. would be a plus

  • Experience driving purposeful meetings, assigning action items and tasks, and managing overall project tracking

  • Ability to influence for impact across a wide array of stakeholders and partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to handle critical and ambiguous situations with confidence, identify potential solutions and create alignment across stakeholders.

  • Flexibility to learn and apply learning to improve business outcomes, positive impact for the team and self. 

  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving technical projects to successful completion.

  • Excellent organizational skills; strong attention to detail and ability to lead by example and display growth mindset

  • Great communications skills, both verbal and written.
