Microsoft Corporation Senior Technical Program Manager in Hyderabad, India
Are you an experienced computer networking professional looking for an opportunity to work on some of Azure’s biggest challenges? We are the Azure Core team, and we are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to join our team.
We are part of the Azure core engineering organization and consider great customer experiences critical to the overall success of Azure. Our team builds the Azure Network Platform and services like Azure Virtual Network, Azure VPN, Azure Firewall, Azure Private Link, and other customer facing and internal cloud network platform services. Responsibilities
You will partner with Software and Hardware Engineering to design technical solutions across feature areas. You’ll also identify risks and propose data-based mitigations.
You’ll define success criteria and create relationships for implementing features for complex cross-functional projects. You’ll coordinate and ensure alignment across organizations.
You will deliver on roadmap for multiple feature groups, track project schedules, develop staging and implementation plan, and manage governance programs.
You will drive continuous improvements by validating use cases and writing test cases from scratch. You’ll also lead teams to partner with other departments to collect performance metrics, drive customer support, and lead direct customer engagements.
Qualifications
Required Qualifcations:
Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development.
OR equivalent experience.
4+ years of program management experience with overall 8+ years of experience where your primary responsibilities directly involved implementing, designing, or operating enterprise networks, data centre networks, cloud networks or defining, developing, designing computer network platforms, services, or products.
Hands on experience and knowledge of computer networking concepts (e.g., routing, network design, SDN (Software defined Network), SDWAN (Software Defined Wide Area Network), tunnelling, NAT (Network Address Translation), encryption, protocols, network monitoring)
Other Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional / Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to concisely frame problems, conceptualize simple solutions, and make decisions based on data and metrics.
The ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment, make quick decisions and understand the consequences.
Exceptional collaboration and communication skills (verbal and written); Ability to clearly communicate business problems and complex technical issues to a broad audience.
Experience building strong working relationships with, collaborating with, and influencing diverse cross-functional and cross-geo teams (engineering, support, marketing, etc.). Drive change without authority across groups
Experience with data analysis. Including Excel, Power Pivot, Power BI, Kusto (Azure Data Explorer), and SQL
Demonstrated experience in gathering and transforming customer needs into an actionable product requirements definition.
A deep knowledge of regulatory / compliance requirements. (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)
