Amazon Senior Technical Program Manager, FDM in Hyderabad, India
Description
This role requires working with product management to define business strategy, requirements and timelines as well as leading multiple cross functional development teams through design, delivery, and management and support. This position involves regular communication with senior management on progress, risks and change control. Ability to lead extended cross-discipline teams as well as project management and executive presentation skills are essential.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of the following: service-oriented architecture, distributed software, product development, build processes, project management and release models. The ideal candidate will have 8 or more years of relevant work experience in internet-related project and/or technical program management in a software applications environment. An undergraduate degree in software-program management, computer science, or equivalent experience required.
Key job responsibilities
This role requires working with product teams to define strategy and requirements, and lead cross functional development teams from design through delivery. You will be accountable for driving the entire product lifecycle, from product definition through specification, coding, quality assurance and launch to the world. This position involves regular communication with senior management on status, risks and change control. Cross-team coordination, agile project management and executive presentation skills are essential.

Qualified candidates have experience defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new features sets as well as analyzing cost/benefit of feature selection and communicating results throughout the organization.
Knowledge of the following is required - service-oriented architecture, product development (including Java, XML, messaging protocols, and Web Services), build processes, agile project management and release schedules.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of technical product or program management experience
7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
3+ years of software development experience
5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
