About Org:

Oracle’s Observability and Management platform (O&M) provides a suite of services that Monitor, analyze, and manage multi-cloud applications and infrastructure environments with full-stack visibility, prebuilt analytics, and automation.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Stack Monitoring in O&M is used to track the performance of the resources in a tenancy. It provides an enterprise-wide view of the of the stack running on OCI. The team provides discovery and monitoring service for cloud-scale applications, bringing together data from servers, databases, tools, and services to present a unified view of an entire stack. It provides next-generation integrated monitoring, management, and analytics solutions for IT organizations. It enables organization to gain an end-to-end view of applications from end-users to the underlying infrastructure, effectively manage diverse IT environments and drive DevOps efforts.

About Position:

The candidate we are looking for is a Senior Developer who will play a key role in the OCI Stack Monitoring team. The candidate must have strong programming experience in Java and Web technologies.

The candidate will:

  • have experience in systems and cloud management domain involving physical and virtualized entities.

  • conceptualize, design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for cloud applications, databases, networks, etc...

  • collaborate with engineering teams across the globe to understand the product functionalities and use cases.

  • work closely with product architect, peer group as well as members of different development organizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading contributor and a team player. Will be required to provide direction and mentor other team members.

  • Develop, debug and test programs and scripts for components and sub-systems of Oracle Stack Monitoring Software.

  • Contribute to the analysis of functional requirements and participate in engineering initiatives.

  • Adopt and promote solid software development and test-driven practices with your peer.

  • Writing, reviewing and promoting quality, clean and readable code.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent certification in Software Design, Programming with 5+ years of experience as a software developer. Experience with software development life cycle.

  • Extensive experience in Java technologies, SQL and Web technologies.

  • Development experience on Linux & Windows environments.

  • In depth working experience in cloud management domain and virtualization technologies.

  • Ability and willingness to learn quickly in a dynamic environment.

  • Ability to participate in technical discussions and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
