Oracle Senior Principal Fusion Middleware Engineer in HYDERABAD, India
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Fusion Middleware Design & Optimization :
Lead the design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of Fusion Middleware technologies (including Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Service Bus, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)), ensuring optimal performance and fault tolerance on cloud infrastructure (primarily OCI).
Ensure high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and performance optimization across Fusion Middleware and cloud platforms.
Collaborate closely with developers to optimize applications, ensuring seamless integrations across both on-premise and cloud environments.
Cloud Migration & Orchestration :
Assist in the cloud implementation strategies and execution plans for migrations from on-premise to cloud (SaaS), focusing on cloud orchestration and integration using OIC, IAM, and other cloud-native technologies.
Design automated solutions for proactive health checks, monitoring, and management of Fusion Middleware environments in the cloud.
Leverage CI/CD pipelines for Fusion Middleware-centric deployments, following Agile methodologies, ensuring smooth and efficient cloud-native integrations.
Customer Engagement & Escalation Management :
Serve as the technical face of the organization for customers, handling escalations with SME-level proficiency in Fusion Middleware technologies and cloud integrations.
Collaborate with customer executives and architects to ensure that solutions meet business requirements and provide high-performance results, maintaining strong negotiation skills in critical customer interactions.
Cloud Infrastructure & Network Design :
Collaborate with cloud infrastructure teams to optimize OCI Cloud, networking, and security & identity components for seamless cloud and on-premise application deployments.
Design network architectures that enable effective communication between cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure) and on-premise systems, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and security.
Utilize cloud-native observability and management tools to build monitoring solutions, develop dashboards, and provide valuable insights for ongoing performance management.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration :
Lead technical discussions with cross-functional teams, providing expert guidance on Fusion Middleware and cloud architecture for cloud migrations and integration projects.
Work alongside architects and development managers from Oracle product teams to define requirements and carry out detailed engineering analysis to meet business needs.
Influence the design of HA/DR solutions, focusing on the integration of Fusion Middleware technologies within cloud environments.
Performance, Scalability & Reliability Analysis :
Conduct performance and scalability assessments of Fusion Middleware applications to ensure they meet SLA requirements and business objectives.
Perform query tuning, scalability, and reliability analysis for Fusion Middleware environments to optimize performance and prevent bottlenecks.
Automation & Monitoring :
Implement automation strategies for Fusion Middleware deployment, cloud infrastructure management, and integration using REST APIs, CLIs, and cloud-based tools.
Lead the automation of IaaS and PaaS offerings, enhancing the agility and efficiency of cloud environments and ensuring consistent system performance.

Responsibilities
Experience :
15+ years of experience working with Fusion Middleware technologies, including Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Service Bus (OSB), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and Oracle Identity and Access Management (IAM).
Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably OCI, AWS, or Azure, including compute, storage, networking, security & identity, and databases.
Proven expertise in high-availability, disaster recovery, and performance tuning for Fusion Middleware and cloud-native applications.
Technical Skills :
Proficiency in WebLogic Server administration, WLST scripting, cluster topology, SSL keystore management, and application server hardening.
Strong knowledge of automation using REST APIs, CLIs, and cloud orchestration tools for IaaS/PaaS deployments.
Linux operating system expertise and scripting skills for automating administration tasks.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, especially in the context of Fusion Middleware-centric deployments.
Soft Skills :
Leadership skills to guide technical teams and influence key stakeholders across the organization.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Customer-focused with experience in handling escalations and collaborating directly with customer executives and architects.
Education :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
