UnitedHealth Group Senior Principal Engineer - DataBricks, Spark, Azure , DevOps in Hyderabad, India

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a team of Software Engineers to design, build and continuously improve platform service offerings.

  • Drive & lead technical decisions, design discussions, review artifacts and complex implementations of the platform / services.

  • Ensure Well-architected principles and engineering best practices are followed to build a secure, high-performing, resilient and scalable services.

  • Effectively bring in the technical expertise to improve the system. Requires hands-on experience to optimize the implementation code, perform a proof-of-concept to prove, or redesign an existing solution.

  • Provide technical leadership to the team. Mentor and guide engineering teams to adopt modern engineering practices and continuously raise the bar on engineering and operational standards.

  • Able to communicate and co-ordinate effectively with stakeholders, Product, Sr. Leadership and enterprise users to achieve desired business outcomes

  • Demonstrate strong ability to prioritize, plan and execute on the work to leverage the resources effectively and achieve the roadmap commitments.

  • Ability to dive deep & be flexible to adopt to the changing needs of the platform, its users and the tech landscape in general.

Requirements:

· Undergraduate degree in computer science or equivalent experience

· Overall 15+ years of experience with a proven experience in dealing with complex implementations

· 2+ years of experience in any one of the Public Cloud Platform (Azure, GCP, AWS).

· Solid Experience (atleast 4 years) in data engineering technologies such as DataBricks, Spark, ADF et al.

· Experience with kubernetes, docker container services.

· Experience with DevOps engineering tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, etc.

· Experience in a fast paced, Agile, continuous integration environment

· Experience in Systems Monitoring, Alerting and Analytics

Preferred Requirements:

· Certification in a cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure)

· Experience system design, building, and operating large scale & highly available system

· Experience in healthcare industry (Payor domain)
