The Challenge

The Business Systems Analyst – EPM is responsible for the development and design of the GEA’s Planning, Hyperion, HFM, DRM and Essbase applications in all environments. This individual will be integral to ongoing efforts to streamline and automate integration between all the applications, sourcing data from HFM and other sources, synchronizing metadata and data necessary within GEA to improve our efficiencies and reporting

What you will Do

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, document, test and maintain all Hyperion, HFM, DRM, Planning and Essbase metadata and rules changes related to chart of accounts, entities, scenarios and custom members • Create and configure HFM, Planning, FDMEE objects such as rules, mappings, data grids, task lists and web forms • Develop and maintain application artifacts such as business rules, calc scripts, reports and rule scripts • Design and develop Oracle EPM reporting solutions, including OBIEE integration. • Assist with activities such as metadata and data loads, data conversion, consolidations, eliminations and reconciling data • Assist with project activities such as requirement gathering, design, development, testing, migration and deployment • Work with vendor on product issues and bugs • Assist with providing training to end-users • Assist in preparation of key deliverables such as requirement/design documents, test plans/cases, training materials and administration guides • Good knowledge of other EPM modules such as Essbase, DRM and ODI • Good knowledge on Windows batch, Shell, VB and Python scripting • Sound knowledge of accounting concepts, GAAP rules, monthly close and consolidation rules • Participate in the design, development and implementation of new system functionalities to power users and end-users and provide training on Planning and Essbase to end-users • Recommend and develop practices which will drive more consistent and efficient processes based on work with key stakeholders. • Provide training on Planning and Essbase applications to end-users • Manage the development and maintenance of web forms, data grids, task lists and other templates • Ensure compliance with all applicable change management processes and procedures including internal controls • Maintenance of the Development, QA and Production environments including preparing system documentation • Assist in the revision of historical reporting for changes in organizational structure • Assist in preparation of data for, and review with, external and internal auditors • Develop and maintain application artifacts such as business rules, calc scripts, reports and Rule scripts. Should have knowledge on windows batch, Shell ,VB and Python Scripting. • Troubleshoot data and user related issues with EPM application. Proactively ensure clients receive accurate and efficient resolution to problems. Track the issues and manage SLA s of Incidents, tasks and service requests. • Assist in periodic DR testing , SOX related activities and maintain proper documentation on all administration related processes. • Coordinate b/w Infrastructure teams & business Owners and conduct system related patching activities. • Should be able to take care of Hyperion EPM related patches to resolve any open bugs.

What you need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications

• 5-8 years experience as an EPM administrator or relevant experience • This should be in Essbase/Planning/DRM/HFM or some mix • Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative and resolve complex problems with little intervention from management • Well organized and detail-oriented with strong analytic, problem-solving skills and user troubleshooting skills • Ability to work cross-functionally with teams to balance solutions in accordance with the budget, schedule, and tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• FDMEE administrator experience preferred • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or BS/BA in Computer Science, Business Administration with relevant work experience supporting corporate finance applications • Planning and Forecasting application experience preferred • Must possess proven full circle Project Management skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Should be able to multi-task with proven follow-through and adherence to changing priorities and deadlines • Attention to detail - Should be able to maintain accurate data and develop accurate written materials • Action orientated - Should be able to take initiative and resolve complex problems with little intervention from management and follow up on feedback to ensure positive outcomes • Collaborative team player - Should be able to establish solid working relationships with stakeholders and build cross-functional relationships throughout the organization and with vendors, when applicable • Professional communication skills - Should be able to communicate with peers, customers and vendors both via verbal and written communication.
