Google Program Manager, Machine Learning Data Operations in Hyderabad, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.

  • Experience in the AI/ML space.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in vendor operations/vendor management.

  • Ability to define projects and execute within timelines and with multiple stakeholders, and deliver projects on time.

  • Ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving work environment.

  • Ability to work separately on multiple initiatives at the same time.

  • Ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Machine Learning is a critical area of investment for Google. We have an opportunity to further unify developer tooling and infrastructure to meet the fast pace of innovation in an ever evolving field that is critical to many of Google’s products. Core ML Data operations will be the new center of gravity for Google’s ML infrastructure efforts, strengthening cross-Google accountability and execution around key ML efforts. The new Core ML organization will be responsible for creating a cohesive path for machine learning at Google.

  • Manage large projects from concept to launch, developing and coordinating realistic project estimates, plans, or metrics, working and communicating effectively with Engineering, Product Management, Operations and customers.

  • Monitor, measure and communicate project progress, potential risks/delays and team performance to globally dispersed program teams, executives and other sponsors.

  • Understand various Google products and contribute to global company-wide planning processes, including budgeting, project prioritization, headcount planning, forecast management and variance analysis.

  • Deliver critical pieces of analysis, use these to drive new insights and uncover improvement opportunities, identify and implement large-scale measurable and scalable solutions for Machine learning projects.

  • Drive pilots to scale enabling new ways to get data collaborating with multiple Product Areas and find ways to improve AI models supporting critical launch dates.
