We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our team and lead a group of talented engineers working on cutting-edge projects in the fields of data science, machine learning, and big data engineering. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, testing, and deployment of scalable and robust solutions that deliver value to our customers and stakeholders. You will also mentor and coach your team members, foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, and ensure alignment with the company's vision and goals.
Responsibilities
As an Engineering Manager, you will:
Manage the full lifecycle of engineering projects, from ideation to delivery
Define and communicate clear objectives, expectations, and feedback to your team
Hire, develop, and retain top engineering talent
Promote best practices in software engineering, code quality, testing, and documentation
Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Evaluate and adopt new technologies and tools to improve performance, reliability, and efficiency
Drive data-driven decision making and experimentation across the engineering organization
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
At least 8 years of experience in software engineering, with 2 years of experience in managing engineering teams
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#
Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, or Azure Data Lake
Experience with data science and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn is a plus
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
A passion for learning new skills and technologies
Proven track record of attracting, retaining, and mentoring top engineering talent.
