AT&T Lead Software Engineering - DevOps in Hyderabad, India

About the Job:

As a Lead Software Engineering – DevOps who is passionate about seeing customer succeeded and ensuring best-in-class product quality. Builds good customer centric web pages in CMS and understands the technical capabilities of components available – personalize, manage and publish the same. Working with cross functional teams, will collaborate with security experts and network engineers to create software to implement network security solutions.

As the project team ramps up, you will have the chance to help define and shape the vision of how the solution will be maintained and monitored to meet the business’ needs.

Experience Level: 8+ Years

Location: Bangalore & Hyderabad

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible managing and deploying Azure resources, building pipelines and troubleshooting technical issues.

  • Responsible for troubleshooting and debugging application deployments to Kubernetes.

  • Candidate will have experience using API testing tools such as ReadyAPI for regression automation

  • Create and implement test cases to validate software deployments.

  • Create and maintain software and deployment documentation.

  • Candidate will have experience developing and performing basic Linux administration.

  • Candidate will be fluent in Git and Azure to test and deploy code.

  • Candidate will provide tier 4 support on a rotating basis, working closely with other teams and subject matter experts.

  • This candidate needs to be proactive and demonstrate the ability to analyze issues, generate ideas, and initiate action while achieving results.

  • Actively participate in Scrum, providing status of tasks and coordinating with project team to meet requirements.

  • Extended hours and weekend release work may be required.

  • Experience working in an environment where coordination with multiple teams is essential to success.

Primary / Mandatory skills:

Overall – 8+ years of experience managing Azure resources, automating deployments and creating, modifying and maintaining pipelines.

  • Very strong written and verbal skills.

  • Basic networking and security skills, understand firewalls, proxies and network management tools.

  • Ability to prioritize individual/group work in a deadline driven environment.

  • Defect management and RCA experience.

  • Experience managing databases in AKS.

  • Experience creating and updating software using Python and Java.

  • Experience designing and deploying AKS environments.

  • Experience implementing security tools and best practices in Azure.

Technical Skills: Extensive Azure experience deploying and managing resources, implementing security controls and building and troubleshooting pipelines.
