Google Application Engineering Manager, Core in Hyderabad, India

Minimum qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience with programming in APEX, Java, Python, Go, Web Services (e.g., RESTful, SOAP), and CI/CD build tools.

  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role overseeing projects.

  • 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience with customer relationship management (CRM) customization and development.

  • Experience with designing data models for business requirements.

  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages.

  • Experience with version control systems for development, writing unit tests, integration tests, and user interface tests.

  • Experience with Apex typographic conventions, transactions, and limits.

  • Experience integrating CRM tools with external systems and applications.

As an Application Engineering Manager in this role, you will lead a team of application engineers in HR Engineering.

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google.   • Work with stakeholders to understand and refine requirements and dependencies, and collaborate with stakeholders and Google Software Engineering teams to identify and implement technical solutions that scale HR business operations.

  • Write designs and code to solve people operation problems, implement and support scalable integrations.

  • Manage the development, configuration, testing, and deployment environments for developers.

  • Coordinate with other engineering teams, software vendors, and system intigrators for timely delivery.
