About the Role:
The candidate will manage a team of real estate accountants to provide accurate and timely client reporting for assigned processes and portfolios related to CBRE clients and properties. Reviews of daily, weekly, and monthly financial transactions and reporting packages prepared by the accounting team and ensures accuracy and adherence to required controls. Responsible for recruitment, training, and performance management of team members.
What You’ll Do:
Manage and motivate a team of accountants (a Team of 4-5 FTEs)
Fully accountable for the deliverables, capacity and workload planning, resourcing
Review of work product prepared by team including financial accuracy and client specific requirements
May assists in the transition and related training of new clients
Participating in employees' development by coaching, delegating and constructive feedback as well as identifying areas for employees' development
Responsible for attrition management and arranging for backfills on a timely basis
Support communication and interaction between US BSO and India BSO
Ensuring policies and procedures are valid and updated regularly where needed
Participate in regular compliance reviews across supported processes
Supporting in escalations across the Clients, monitoring escalated issues and ensuring timely resolution
Monitoring the performance and quality of activities performed based on agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level agreements (SLAs)
Reporting of volume and backlog metrics as per agreed calendar
Risk management and cooperation with audit departments
Regular reporting on account’s shape including risks and suggesting mitigation plan
Applying CBRE methodology, Data Standards and Best Practices
What You'll Need:
Fluent English (written and spoken) is a must
Minimum 7 years of experience in an accounting and financial reporting capacity with a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience
Degree from a four-year college or university program with an emphasis in accounting, finance. Real Estate experience a strong plus.
Deep understanding of US accounting principles and internal controls
In depth knowledge of financial terminology and the ability to perform complex calculations and financial functions including prepaid, deferred revenue/expense, depreciation/amortization, and accrual calculations
Decision-making and problem-solving skills
Strong analytical and presentation skills.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Strong customer and service orientation
Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio, TEAMS)
Proactive approach with Client and strong improvement focus
Orientation to details, accuracy, proactivity
Experience in managing risks and escalations
Ability to present information and respond effectively to sensitive issues
Ability to work under pressure and in a highly changeable working environment
Team player and fast learner.
