Business Development Representative

Job Description:

Get your foot in the door to the software sales industry as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Brightpearl by Sage. We are the number one Retail Operating System for brands and retailers. Hybrid:

3 days per week with the team in the Austin office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).

How success will be measured:

Your goal will be to create sales opportunities for Account Executives. You’ll do this by finding prospects, then getting a meeting with them to teach them about Brightpearl by Sage. After that, the Account Executive will take over.

Growth opportunities:

Our global sales team is huge, and we love seeking people internally to promote. SDRs typically choose to grow into Account Executive roles, Customer Account Management or Sales Operations/Management or marketing roles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify net new business accounts that fit into Brightpearl’s ideal customer profile (ICP) via Zoominfo, Intent data, Linkedin Sales Navigator, and any other appropriate prospecting tools.

• Engage decision makers in the ICP prospect accounts via phone calls, emails, and other messaging tools

• Conduct high-level qualification calls to executives in our target accounts

• Work closely with the sales Account Executives to continuously improve leads quality and prospecting pitches

• Identify mutually beneficial relationships with partners, helping to strategize new sales opportunities

• Understand customer goals and challenges, as well as Brightpearl’s differentiators to position Brightpearl as the potential solution

Requirements:

• 1+ years cold calling sales

• Preferable experience in SaaS and/or e-commerce

• Demonstrated ability to meet metrics

• Self-starter who has a desire to learn, grow, and excel in their role

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing start-up environment

• Excellent phone, writing, and listening skills

• Great organization and time management skills are essential

• Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) preferably
