Cape Abilities Accounting Associate in Hyannis, Massachusetts
GENERAL SUMMARY The Accounting Associate will manage all representative payee accounts, maintain transactions for our Housing and Urban Development (HUD) property, and perform other accounting duties relating to billing and cash receipts. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Maintain ledgers for representative payee accounts for our Residential and Shared Living programs. Calculate cost of care and process monthly invoices. Maintain all benefit letters received from Social Security and Supplemental Security Income. Ensures proper maintenance of client files. Reconcile client bank account balances. Preform audits of receipts and cash on hand and review internal Financial Tracking Forms. Complete Representative Payee Reports and Request for information from Social Security. Provide monthly reports to guardians on balances and spending. Maintain ledgers for HUD properties. Prepare annual reports and re-certifications for HUD properties. Work closely with HUD billing company. Prepare and maintain all paperwork for Food Stamps. Track and record agency cash receipts. Serve as a backup for the payroll when needed. Function as a backup for Receptionist when needed. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Performs additional duties, as assigned. PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 4 years prior experience in accounting. QuickBooks experience preferred. ADP Workforce Now experience preferred.
