Role Purpose: To safely assemble quality parts in a timely manner to help achieve the production schedule and to meet customer delivery requirements.
Critical Competencies:
Ability to follow work instructions.
Ability to work unsupervised to meet schedules and deadlines required.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions required.
Mechanical aptitude for small scale assembly.
Ability to read prints required.
Ability to use scales and weigh accurately required.
Basic computer skills required.
Attention to detail required.
Physical Demands:
Ability to work at bench standing and/or sitting for 4 hours at a time.
Visual acuity to read prints and precision scales and callipers.
Ability to communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
Physical strength to lift and carry 40 pounds occasionally.
Adequate dexterity for using various hand tools.
Keyboarding
Education/Experience: Minimum HS diploma or GED required. Prior experience with mechanical assembly/disassembly preferred. Prior experience reading blueprints and work instructions to build product is preferred.
