BAE Systems in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Program Engineering Manager (PEM) to support the Integrated Survivability Solutions (ISS) product line, in the Countermeasures & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions business area. As an industry leader in EO/IR and RF technologies, ISS is dedicated to advancing multi-platform detection, tracking and defeat of incoming threats to support aircraft, ground vehicle and maritime survivability.
In this role, you will:
Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team working state of the art threat detection solutions to include the 2-Color Advanced Warning System (2CAWS) and the AN/AAR-57 Common Missile Warning System (CMWS) products.
Be responsible for planning, staffing, budget, schedules, scope management, risk and opportunity management, and team coordination.
Collaborate with program management, engineering leadership and customers to understand the customer mission and needs.
Interface with customers to create opportunities, communicate our solutions, set expectations, and mange scope.
Manage all engineering activities required to deliver and support critical mission capabilities.
Work mainly onsite with the ability to telecommute occasionally

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science and 12 years of engineering development experience
8 years of experience leading engineering development efforts
Experience leading teams of 25 engineers
Experience managing engineering budgets exceeding $25 million
Extensive experience with project estimation, schedule & resource planning, project execution & tracking and earned value management
Experience with leading/developing engineering proposals
Active Secret or higher security clearance
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience leading cross functional teams
Experience leading agile development
Experience with all phases of program execution from proposal to sustainment
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
10 years of experience leading engineering development activities
Experience leading teams of 40 engineers
Experience managing engineering budgets exceeding $50 million
Experience developing threat detection sensors/systems
Familiarity with model based systems engineering
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $147300 - $250400
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
