ManTech Systems Safety Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Safety Engineer to join our team in the Huntsville, AL area. This is an onsite position.

Summary

The Systems Safety Engineer provides system safety support, job hazard analysis/training, and provide recommendations for process and safety improvements. Also provide engineering, technical and IT support for the operation, maintenance, sustainment, integration, test, repair, life-cycle management, this coincides with Quality Assurance (QA), safety inspections, data entry, and supply chain logistics activities for electronic systems, subsystems, equipment, and components.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide support in performing functions such as requirements management, system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management

  • Monitor and track project tasks, schedules and plans of actions and milestones

  • Develop, analyze and present system metrics to program management and the customer

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering is required, from an ABET accredited college or university

  • Two (2) years of experience working in areas associated with engineering and/or systems engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience presenting briefings and reports to management and leadership

  • Experience working alone and on teams

  • Experience working in spreadsheets, word processing documents, and presentation applications

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen and have an Active US Secret Clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate must be able to operate and perform tasking on a PC

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time

  • Ability to lift typical office equipment, supplies and files

  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery

  • Communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual

The projected compensation range for this position is $66,800-$111,400. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
