This job was posted by https://joblink.alabama.gov : For more information, please see: https://joblink.alabama.gov/ada/r/jobs/2387910 We are seeking a Software Engineering professional to join the Range Instrumentation Support (RIS) team in Huntsville, Alabama. Specific duties will include:
+ Develop decommutation programs for various Telemetry Data Processing units (i.e Acroamatics or NetAcquire) for various test programs
+ Develop user displays using range safety software (i.e. Common Display System, LabView, SimDis, etc.) for various test programs.
+ Ability to work with Missile Flight Safety Officers to validate decommutation and display accuracy
+ Support as an operator on for various sea-based systems for various test activities for the Missile Defense Agency.
+ Design and develop standalone applications to characterize health and status of mission critical components to understand performance and reliability of systems.
+ Design and develop mission simulator tools that can be used for training system operators and Missile Flight Safety Officers
+ Develop system documentation to include but not limited to standard operating procedures, user manuals, etc.
+ Position could require between 25% and 50% travel with some duration between two (2) to four (4) weeks.
+ Regularly report status of projects to management and customers.
+ BS (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field
+ Five to eight (5 - 8) years of general application, scripting and web-based programming
+ Valid Security+ certification or higher; or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
+ Experience with one or more of the following programming languages: C, C++/C#, MATLAB, Python, LabView
+ Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as working in a team environment
+ Strong written and oral communication skills; strong listening skills
+ Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules and priorities.
+ The ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations and gather team consensus to move forward.
nThis position requires the candidate to already have a current Secret security clearance and to maintain the clearance.
