TITLE : Program Protection Planning SME

LOCATION: Huntsville, AL

DESCRIPTION :

Provides support to SHIELD Security Office for all SHEILD products. Works with security, engineering, and program management experts for critical asset identification, vulnerability analysis, risk assessment, and countermeasures development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the development of policies and best practices to effectively support the Program Protection Planning (PPP) process to include Operational Security (OPSEC), Security Classification Management (SCM), and other essential efforts.

  • Support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in the analysis of RDA programs to identify Critical Program Information (CPI) and recommend appropriate countermeasures and program protection strategies.

  • Draft and staff appropriate program security documentation in support of the PPP process.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • Must have and be able to maintain a Secret clearance.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 15 Years' experience in Program Protection Planning or equivalent security fields.

    DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Conduct periodic reviews for, and update directorate program protection plans, anti-tamper plans, security classification guides, technology assessment and control plan, System Security Engineering Management Plan,

  • Maintain familiarity with the National Security Space Acquisition Policy

  • Responsible for identifying threats and analyzing incidents

  • Review GPS Directorate acquisition documents for compliance with Critical Program Information (CPI) protection requirements

  • Support administration of the Critical Intelligence Support Plan (CISP), to include: conducting annual program site visits to evaluate the design, implementation and verification of system security provisions; evaluate change proposals (e.g., Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Request for Change (RFC), Task

  • Change Proposals (TCPs), Contract Change Proposals (CCPs), waivers and deviations, and acquisition strategy), and provide security assessments.

  • Evaluate internal, public, classified, unclassified, and foreign government requests for information
