Position Overview:
KODA Technologies is seeking a
Network Systems Engineerto support the Weapons Analysis and Innovation group to assist with sustainment, and modernization efforts involving a rapidly developed Army Ground Launch System. Primary duty is to serve as a Network Systems Engineer for the Program Executive Office - Missiles and Space Mid-Range Capability Project Office (MRCPO), which is responsible for the development, testing, integration, and fielding of the Army's Mid-Range Missile capability.
The Network Systems Engineer is responsible for advising the MRCPO in the design, development, fielding, and modernization of the Battery Operation Center (BOC) as part of the Army Mid-Range Capability. The Network Systems Engineer will assist in managing technical requirements, and risk for the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Army's Long Range Precision Fires priority to field an experimental prototype battery with residual combat capability in support of Multi-Domain Operations. The Network Systems Engineer assists with the systems architecture and federated integration of the Tactical Tomahawk Weapon Control System (TTWCS), Aegis Weapon System (AWS), the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), and the Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS) in the BOC.
What you'll be doing:
- Support the development, prototyping, modernization, testing, and evaluation of BOC Network Systems software and hardware and support the integration and test events of the Mid-Range Capabilities.
- Provide systems engineering and integration support for weapons system network.
- Develop network diagrams to include modernization efforts and network additions for added hardware.
- Review and define system requirements
- Review and evaluate system technical specifications, designs, analyses, test plans/procedures, and technical data packages
- Interface with other government organizations and development contractors to facilitate preliminary concept exploration and candidate system design
- Develop and present briefings, analysis, and reports to industry, internal/external government organizations, and senior/executive leadership within DoD and the Federal Government.
Required Skills:
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to multitask in a high-paced environment
- Experience in network/IP configurations management.
- Ability to work on-site.
Required Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
10 years of experience supporting engineering for weapon systems
Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering for major defense acquisition program office or OEM
Demonstrated knowledge and application of systems engineering and requirements analys s
Successful missile system fire direction and power systems development experience
Demonstrated experience with System Requirements Design Reviews
