As the leading Lean Manager at Polaris Huntsville, you'll harness your expertise to spearhead our transformation through Lean manufacturing principles, managing a dynamic team of over 20 members. In collaboration with top-tier consultants, you will champion the integration of Lean practices across our operations, focusing on manufacturing industry-leading powersports products. Your role is pivotal in cultivating metrics that benchmark our strides toward excellence in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Engagement. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of 20+ members, focusing on Lean and training to drive transformative projects and initiatives.

  • Collaborate with the Plant Director and functional leaders to identify and prioritize projects that align with the Plant's Annual Roadmap and monitor progress toward key objectives.

  • Implement Lean initiatives across the enterprise to enhance processes, minimize waste, and optimize product value streams.

  • Integrate continuous improvement principles into daily operations, utilizing tools like value stream mapping, Kaizen, and 5S to educate and elevate team performance.

  • Develop and enforce Engineering Standard work, guiding process improvement teams to enhance value delivery across product lines.

  • Assist in developing strategic plans such as the annual plant roadmap and lean organizational development.

  • Enhance and refine standard work processes and management systems to support "World Class" performance benchmarks.

  • Lead significant ROI-driven initiatives focusing on comprehensive improvements in Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Inventory, and human development.

  • Foster strategic integration across various functions to enhance overall customer value and support company-wide lean standards established by the central lean group at HQ.

  • Lean Mastery : You have a profound understanding of Lean methodologies and tools, can lead significant change initiatives, and can embed Lean culture across a facility.

  • Strategic Leadership : You excel at envisioning and driving strategic initiatives and are adept at planning and executing programs that align with long-term business goals.

  • Change Management : You possess strong skills in managing change, capable of guiding teams through transformation processes and fostering an adaptable and continuous improvement mindset.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in Lean Manufacturing.

  • Proven track record of leading a Lean transformation within a manufacturing facility.

  • Exceptional program planning, organization, and execution skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines and adapt quickly to changing priorities.

  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with all organizational levels.

  • Experienced in project management, facilitation, and delivering effective presentations.

  • Skilled in leading, training, and motivating teams across various functions.
