Job Description

A client in the Huntsville area is looking to add an Integration Engineering Technician to their team. This is a touch labor technician role supporting turbopump builds for a rocket engine. This candidate will be responsible for reading work instructions and drawings and taking measurements. They will be working on a team of 6 that will be growing quickly to support demand. This is a fast-paced environment, and candidates will be eligible to work OT hours. This is a 100% onsite role and on the job training will be provided. All new hires will also need to be available to travel for training within the first 2 months on the job. As part of this role, you'll be responsible for precision assembly of rocket engine components, including combustion devices, valves, turbomachinery, and avionics. You'll also perform root cause analysis, diagnostic disassembly, and repairs. Additionally, you'll conduct hydraulic testing for valve actuation, as well as Nitrogen and Helium leak testing. Ensuring structural integrity through hydro proof structural testing and detailed component inspection is crucial, with tolerances down to 0.0001 inches. Beyond assembly, you'll contribute to custom manufacturing and test equipment design, installation, and integration. Strengthening the feedback loop between design, build, and test through DFMA and PFMEA studies is essential, as is creating clear manufacturing work instructions for various processes.

Skills and Requirements

4-6+ years Assembly Technician experience

Ability to interpret engineering drawings

Experience reading and understanding specification and details work instructions

Mastery of precision and tight tolerance assembly

Experience using CAD software and MS office suites

Strong communication and professionalism

Ability to travel out of state for training for 1-2 weeks during their first few months on the job Aerospace experience

Experience with turbo valves or turbomachinery

GDMT experience (Geometric dimension measurement tolerancy)

Any degrees or related certifications null
