Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is currently seeking Earned Value Management (EVM) Systems Analysts to assist with all business activities associated with several rapidly growing programs. These positions can be located at a Defense Systems facility across the US or could be remote. The ideal candidate should have several years of demonstrated, hands-on Earned Value experience.
Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Serves as the Earned Value Management (EVM) focal point; Interface with Cost Account Managers and provides monthly cost/schedule data for the program
Build partnerships with program personnel to support program execution while maintaining compliant EVM implementation in accordance with EIA-748 and the NG EVM System Description
Cost Performance Reporting requirements utilizing COBRA
Reporting variance analysis and preparing cost reviews
Lead the preparation and submittal of monthly IPMR CDRLs (Formats 1-7)
Maintain EVM compliance including cost/schedule integration
Prepare and maintain spend plans; develop and review Estimates at Complete (EACs); incorporate changes into the EVM system in order to maintain cost and schedule baselines
Assist Control Account Managers (CAMs) with EVM activities including: Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development and alignment; time-phasing of tasks; developing and documenting earned value methodologies; performance measurement; estimate to complete analysis and updates and variance analysis research and reporting
Create financial charts in support of program management and program reviews; identify cost impacts and develop recovery plans as required
Responsible for actuals reconciliation, budget change requests and ensuring proper accounting
Incorporate contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines

Basic Qualifications:
Earned Value Management (EVM) System Analyst (Level 2)
This position emphasizes skills and experience. Will consider high school diploma or equivalent (GED) with at least 7 years of professional related experience OR a Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of related professional experience OR a Master's degree with 1 years of related professional experience.
Use of Deltek Cobra or MPM
Some experience with EVM reviews such as Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR), Internal Surveillances, EVM Validation, or DCMA Joint Surveillance Reviews.
Strong computer skills with high-level Excel skills (i.e. working with pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and conditional formatting)
Basic Qualifications:
Principal Earned Value Management (EVM) System Analyst (Level 3)
This position emphasizes skills and experience. Will consider high school diploma or equivalent (GED) with at least 10 years of professional related experience OR a Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of related professional experience OR a Master's degree with 4 years of related professional experience.
Use of Deltek Cobra or MPM
Experience with EVM reviews such as Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR), Internal Surveillances, EVM Validation, or DCMA Joint Surveillance Reviews.
Strong computer skills with high-level Excel skills (i.e. working with pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and conditional formatting)
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Certifications in Earned Value Management or Project Management a plus
Excellent communication and presentation skills to management and stakeholders
Experience with common scheduling tools such as MS Project, Primavera, Empower and/or Open Plan (OPP)
Experience leading programs in audits / reviews government agencies such as the DCMA and the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA)
Salary Range: $68,800 - $108,100
Salary Range 2: $84,600 - $133,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
