Koniag Technology Solutions, LLC, Services, LLC is seeking a Civil Engineer in Huntsville, AL to act as primary contact between our office and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) The Civil Engineer will have essential multi- discipline team representation and be self-motivated, well organized, design oriented, and customer focused.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform non-routine and complex assignments from verbal instructions.

  • Work closely with design originator and Project Managers

  • Inform Project Manager(s) of progress on assigned projects and request work or additional resources when needed.

  • Recommend design changes requiring sound judgment and discretion.

  • Flexible in work assignments and team assignments

  • Research and implement regulatory requirements and design standards.

  • Review drawings for completeness.

  • Analyze sketches, notes, and other input material to determine and plan the best approach to develop designs with minimal supervision.

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Master’s degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in Conveyance Engineering 

  • At least 10 years relevant professional experience for civil works design projects

  • Federal design experience for USACE

  • Experience working in a multi-discipline environment. 

  • Construction support services for civil works projects 

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software

  • Knowledge of design codes & standards (International Building Code, UFC’s etc.)

  • Proactive attitude of taking independent initiative, exhibiting creative problem-solving, eagerness to learn, while remaining dedicated to teamwork

  • Experience with office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams) and review software (Bluebeam)

  • Top Secret Security Clearance

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
