The Willbrook team is looking for a

Systems Engineerto join our team! In this role you will support the Missile Defense Agency's Advanced Architectures Design (MDA/CAD) office working to define the future of Missile Defense through development, analysis, and communication of future Regional Missile Defense Architectures.

Your role will be contractor support responsible for coordinating and assisting in the development of joint architectures addressing regional missile defense against ballistic, hypersonic and cruise missile threats to protect warfighters and allies. Plan and execute projects involving prime contractors, other MDA offices, and FFRDC/UARC partners. Assist in drafting Architecture Requirements Packages (ARP's) and architecture studies that will explore relevant evolving threats, capability gaps to be addressed, future architecture options, and other recommendations involving missile defense capability, coverage, and capacity. Support the evaluation of future architecture elements and technology enablers that support ballistic, hypersonic and cruise missile defense. Assist in the development of top-level architecture needs documentation to support requirements development as well the acquisition of new capabilities and prototypes

RESPONSIBILITIES and TASKS:

  • Develop and coordinate comprehensive regional missile defense courses of action (COA's) for future architectures to defeat an evolving pacing threat. Prepare and deliver briefings and supporting data in support of Architecture Requirements Packages (ARP's).

``` - Assist with identifying, defining, and prioritizing missile defense architecture gaps, challenges, needs, opportunities, and potential system mitigations.

``` - Develop real-world regional missile defense blue force and red force laydowns as well as intel-informed raid scenarios using a pacing threat set. Develop measures of effectiveness and architecture needs statements and coordinate iterative analysis on these architectures with other CA offices and FFRDC/UARC partners. Document and analyze performance of architecture options and future concepts implemented in these scenarios. - Represent the CAD Regional Defense Team in working groups and technical interchange meetings to support communication of future concepts, architecture needs, and data exchange. Provide regular input in support of government leadership to reports and weekly charts involving task status, action item tracking, risks, and schedule.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • BA/BS in STEM field and 7+ years of experience in lieu of the MA/MS requirement
  • Minimum of 7+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD programs/projects
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Able to work independently and/or lead teams to analyze and resolve problems

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Working knowledge of Missile Defense Systems (MDS) architectures and concepts
  • Familiarity and past experience with the Missile Defense Agency and/or other complex Missile Defense Systems
  • Develop and review technical memorandums, white papers, and briefings supporting findings and conclusions of analyses
  • Working knowledge of Systems Engineering processes, procedures including Model Based Systems Engineering and Digital Engineering strategies
  • Experience in a military operational environment.
  • Works independently, applying engineering rigor to analyze and resolve problems within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to self-manage and initiate within team structure
  • Ability to decompose complex problems to actionable elements
  • Ability to coordinate efforts in timely manner across multiple organizations
  • Ability to present complex information and concepts to leaders at various levels

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

Active Secret Clearance required with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
