In anticipation of the contract award, we are seeking Database Architects who will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Agency Information Management and Software Services (AIMSS) mission by serving as a database subject matter expert (SME) in support of software development and lab infrastructure support.
In this role, you will perform database maintenance and implementation activities for software development and lab infrastructure support capabilities. You will utilize your expertise in maintaining database operational structure and database configuration management. You will leverage your skills in developing operational user language for interfacing with SQL database applications. You will execute database systems installation, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, tuning, and maintenance activities. In addition, you will develop database queries, scripts, reports, stored procedures, documentation packages, and document processes. You will need to understand change control and version control testing, processes, and procedures. You will ensure appropriate backup and disaster recovery measures are in place and documented. This role will require having experience in the development of a SQL Server database application containing defined assets, conditions, constraints, test objectives, and other objects required to support an Asset-based scheduling application.
Required
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in engineering, science, or another relevant field or:
Must have an in-scope DoD Security Clearance
Ability to work on-site at MDA Facilities
Willing to periodically travel in support of test events
Desired
Experience supporting the US Ballistic Missile Defense System
Experience handling classified data
SQL Server / SQL Server as a Service experience
AWS, Azure, VMWare experience
