About this opening:
The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for Accounts Payable (AP) processing and other administrative support to the accounting department and management. These functions will primarily be done in an office environment with occasional visits to the manufacturing floor.
Duties:
- Process accounts payable invoices and enter them into the manufacturing accounting system
- Identify and resolve accounts payable and vendor related issues
- Communicate with vendors regarding purchases, discounts, invoices, deliveries, vendor agreements, changes to services, issues, etc.
- Maintain vendor master files including new vendor setup
- Data analysis and reporting to support various management initiatives
- Occasionally make employee travel arrangements
- Process overhead purchase orders
- Track, identify and resolve any purchasing and vendor related issues
- Maintain and order general office, break room, and first aid supplies
- Collect and distribute mail
At ASG, we work as a team and cross train employees to be able to backup and provide support to other team members when required. The Accounting Clerk will cross train for surge support to other functions, as required.
Qualifications:
- Must have High School Diploma
- Must have at least 2 years experience that includes entering AP regularly
- Must have good analytical skills to identify and resolve issues, and improve efficiency
- Must be well organized, thorough, and detail oriented
- Must have good verbal and written communication and organizational skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel), and working with files on Microsoft Windows operating systems and network file servers
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Experience with a manufacturing accounting system is a plus
- Experience working in an ISO9001/AS9100 environment is a plus
