HIRING!!!! - $23-24/HR - 3rd Shift Production Operator

Job Description

A machine operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery used in the manufacturing process. Machine operators will work both individually and as part of a team, delivering consistent work and reporting accurate information on a timely basis. Success in this position requires the ability to produce timely and high-quality output within company quality and production standards. Individuals must demonstrate a standard level of productivity and quality output and be committed to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare machinery for operation by performing routine maintenance tasks and conducting safety checks to ensure equipment is in good working condition.

  • Set up and operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.

  • Monitor machines during operation to ensure products meet quality standards.

  • Conduct regular in-process inspections to ensure quality control standards.

  • Troubleshoot equipment and make necessary adjustments to fix any issues during the production process.

  • Record data such as production numbers, machine settings, and product quality data.

  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to the proper use of PPE to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and other employees.

  • Consistently meet production requirements.

  • Continuously work in a safe manner and maintain a safe and clean work area.

  • Follow company rules and participate in cross-training and other training requirements.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to speak and read English effectively.

  • Ability to read and interpret gauges and record measurements.

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets), operating and maintenance instructions, and relevant manuals.

  • Ability to stand for an 8–10-hour shift.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong time management capabilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Use of computer to enter activities in ERP system (Simple use).

  • Mechanically inclined.

  • Inspection skills.

  • Prior experience preferred but not required.

The job requires standing for 8–10-hour shifts and adherence to safety protocols and the proper use of PPE.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntington Beach, California.
