The Supply Chain Planner manages a subset of the company demand forecast by using data driven statistical software merged with intelligence gathered from multiple inputs such as financial plans, market plans, sales plans, and industry information to reach an unbiased consensus forecast. A Supply Chain Planner has the skill set to challenge other functions’ assumptions by having a strong understanding of data, different levels of hierarchy forecasts, forecast error, and the drivers and statistics that will help minimize bias.

This is a Hybrid role based out of Huntersville, NC, in accordance with the Amerock Flex schedule; 3 days office / 2 days remote. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Follow a regimented monthly cadence to analyze, collaborate and collect input from cross functional departments to adjust the demand forecast and reach consensus with all parties.

  • Ensure ongoing supply at the distribution centers (DC) in support of meeting the overall national demand plan.

  • Contribute to the Demand Consensus meeting in the monthly S&OP cycle to report on all meaningful forecast changes, collaborate with participants and challenge aspects of the forecast that do not align with the trends and analysis presented by the planning team.

  • Firm and release Planned Orders as suggested by the ERP system monthly to supply to the DC and adjust order quantities when necessary.

  • Analyze Customer Portals, Dashboards, and Scorecards to ensure we are performing to SLA and liaison with the Supply Manager and DC when operational requests are initiated.

  • Run monthly reporting on forecast accuracy, forecast bias to strategically adjust demand forecast with insights derived from these metrics.

  • Serve as a coach and mentor to the business unit to educate the organization on the benefits of prioritizing demand planning and S&OP processes.

  • Improve forecast accuracy by analyzing forecast error, recommending, and implementing appropriate action plans.

  • Collaborate with suppliers to manage delivery dates to facilitate accurate cash flow forecasting.

  • Support optimal inventory flow to reduce risk, eliminate constraints and decrease lead times on key items.

  • Participate in or lead projects related to data driven supply chain optimization, planning system improvements, master data strategy, etc.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Demand/Supply planning experience, working knowledge of Supply Chain concepts, Demand Planning, Inventory Management, Analysis, or Operations preferred

  • Prior S&OP, SIOP experience, or related supply chain planning process preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Business, or related analytical subject area.

  • Experience leading collaborative demand meetings, participating in a consensus process or involvement in an S&OP process.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Has strong analytical skills with the ability to scrutinize and break down facts and concepts in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong presentation skills and ability to build positive relationships across the organization including the leadership team.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel required including V-Lookups, IF Functions and Statements, Pivot tables. Advanced knowledge preferred.

  • Experience using SAP and Demand Forecasting Software (Forecast Pro) preferred.

  • SQL database skills a plus.

  • PowerBI proficiency preferred.

  • APICS Supply Chain Certification preferred.

Pay Range:

$4,124.70 - $6,783.70

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
