FULL TIME EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION ASSISTANT DIRECTOR COMPENSATION: Full Time Early Childhood Education Assistant Director will make market based on professional experience and educational background. OVERVIEW: Goddard Lake Houston has an immediate opening for Assistant Director. Our management team works together to establish and maintain a safe, healthy, nurturing, and fun learning environment. The Assistant Director assists the Director with all facility operational and educational tasks. JOB SUMMARY:  As a member of our leadership team, you will help with all operations of Goddard Lake Houston. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: •    Assisting the Director, as needed; •    Ensuring all parents are happy and more than satisfied with the services we provide; •    Furthering children’s intellectual, social, and physical development; •    Supporting Teachers in advancing children’s emotional, social, and physical development and providing positive guidance; •    Ensuring compliance with Goddard School’s health and safety, Cognia, and State of Texas childcare licensing guidelines, at all times; •    Reviewing, assisting, and approving lessons plans; •    Establishing and maintaining positive and effective family relationships; •    Maintaining a clean and presentable operation; •    Fostering teamwork; •    Responding to all teacher’s needs; •    Maintaining a professional commitment; •    Answering the phone and greeting parents, conducting tours, following up on toured leads; •    Ensuring photos are sent to parents; •    Conducting kitchen, resource room, and office supply inventories; •    Opening and closing building; •    Assisting in maintaining student and faculty files; •    Communicating with parents regarding incidents, promotions, classroom activities, and all other information relevant to children; •    Maintaining a clean and professional appearance at all times; •    And most importantly…Having fun! You will be working with children! REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: •    Leadership experience in a private preschool and/or a group childcare environment. •    Proven ability to be dependable and on-time according to schedule. •    Must be willing to work flexible hours. DESIRED EXPERIENCE/COURSEWORK: •    At least one (1) year Assistant Director experience in a private preschool and/or a group childcare environment preferred. •    Bachelor’s degree, Associates degree, current CDA, or State of Texas Director certification preferred.
